Many methods. The black blood they bleed is the primary method, infected organsims cough it up, or attack them and then implant it into them via rudementary evisceration. It also stagnates the air, water sources and etc - so being within several hundred meters of a sample of the black blood and there is a high chance you will catch the virus.

When I see that picture of a human in the Final Stage of Rust, I think of this image: http://grivetart.deviantart.com/art/Meatman-136221156

This is a really cool idea. I want to find a way to work it into my Ordo Sepulchrem army storyline.


One small note, though - I'd change the word "muscular" to "musculature".
